At Allegria Village , we are proud to offer Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Skilled Nursing—all on one dynamic, resident-centered campus in Dearborn. We are seeking a strong, strategic, and people-focused leader to serve as the Executive Director of our Assisted Living Facility .
This is a critical leadership role where your ability to delegate effectively, lead with integrity, and drive census growth will directly impact the lives of our residents, the success of our team, and the continued reputation of Allegria Village.
As Executive Director, you’ll be responsible for the overall management and performance of our Assisted Living community. That includes ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, high-quality resident care, and the development of a cohesive, mission-driven team. You’ll also play a key role in meeting census targets and ensuring financial health
Leadership & Delegation
Provide clear direction and accountability across departments through strong delegation and team development
Build and mentor a high-performing leadership team, ensuring consistency and alignment with community values
Empower department heads and frontline staff to own their roles and contribute to a culture of excellence
Handle staff performance management, coaching, and when necessary, disciplinary action
Operational Oversight
Maintain full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
Ensure all internal policies and procedures are followed consistently
Oversee all aspects of daily operations, from staffing and resident services to quality assurance and safety protocols
Census Growth & Community Engagement
Drive occupancy and census growth through strategic community outreach, lead generation, and family engagement
Lead and support the admissions and marketing team with clear goals and data-driven strategy
Build a strong public presence to enhance the community’s visibility and reputation
Financial Management
Oversee revenue, payroll, and expenses with a sharp eye on budget adherence
Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining service quality
Perform regular performance assessments to ensure financial and operational targets are met
Resident & Family Satisfaction
Promote a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere where residents feel supported and respected
Ensure timely and empathetic responses to resident or family concerns
Maintain a high standard of physical, emotional, and social care for all residents
Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in a healthcare or senior living setting
Proven ability to delegate effectively and lead diverse teams with confidence and clarity
Strong background in census management, financial oversight , and regulatory compliance
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Deep understanding of the unique needs of the senior population
Experience in resolving conflict and fostering a positive, solution-oriented workplace
Must meet applicable state requirements for assisted living administrators
CPR certification required; Administrator license preferred
Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field preferred
Active membership in the American College of Health Care Administrators is a plus
Current CPR certification
Ability to lift at least 40 lbs
Frequent walking, standing, pushing, pulling, and typing
May be exposed to individuals with communicable diseases; proper PPE and protocols provided
