Job Description

HIRING!!! We are seeking a skilled Senior Quality Engineer to lead and enhance quality assurance efforts across internal operations and external suppliers. In this highly visible role, you will work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and supply chain teams to ensure that quality systems are robust, compliant, and aligned with industry standards. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in fast-paced, precision-driven environments and wants to work on mission-critical products used in factories globally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement quality standards and control systems for materials, processes, and final products.
  • Perform inspections and testing to ensure product compliance with internal and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations to drive process improvements and resolve quality issues.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and improve supplier quality performance through audits and corrective actions.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions using tools such as 8D, FMEA, and SPC.
  • Support risk management strategies to ensure product reliability and continuity in the supply chain.
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior quality engineers and cross-functional partners.
  • Maintain documentation and reporting for quality metrics and compliance audits.
  • Travel occasionally to supplier sites for evaluations and issue resolution.

Qualifications

  • 7–10 years of experience in Quality Engineering, preferably in electronics, semiconductor, or high-tech manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of statistical tools (SPC, Gage R&R, Minitab, JMP).
  • Experience working with contract manufacturers and managing supplier relationships.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams through complex problem-solving.
  • Familiarity with semiconductor processes and relevant industry standards is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and documentation skills.

Education & Certifications

  • Required: Degree in a STEM field (Engineering, Physics, etc.)
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Certifications: ASQ (CQE, CQA, etc.) preferred; Value Stream Mapping & Visio proficiency a plus
