We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Superintendent for our rapidly growing construction company. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional who has a proven track record in managing both multifamily and single-family residential construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of all phases of construction, from pre-construction planning to project completion. This role requires hands-on involvement, robust decision-making skills, and a passion for creating high-quality, sustainable living spaces.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Superintendent, you will:
1. Oversee all aspects of construction project management, including budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.
2. Coordinate and supervise the activities of subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
3. Maintain quality control measures and conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with building and safety codes.
4. Foster a positive and safe work environment, ensuring all activities adhere to company policies and OSHA safety standards.
5. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction specialists, providing valuable input based on your expertise.
6. Resolve any issues or delays that may impact project timelines or quality.
7. Communicate effectively with clients, providing regular progress updates and handling any concerns promptly and professionally.
8. Continuously strive for process improvement, identifying opportunities to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the role of Permanent Superintendent will possess:
1. A minimum of 5 years' experience in a construction management role, with a focus on multifamily and single-family residential projects.
2. A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
3. Extensive knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
4. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide teams towards achieving project goals.
5. Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to make critical decisions under pressure.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.
7. Proficiency in construction software, such as Procore or similar.
8. A proven track record of completing projects on time and within budget.
9. Certification in construction safety or a related field is a plus.
