Job Details We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Superintendent to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of commercial projects, ensuring their successful completion through leadership, planning, and detailed execution. The Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing all stages of project development, from initial planning to final completion, ensuring adherence to quality standards, construction processes, and building codes.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all aspects of commercial construction projects from inception to completion.
2. Develop and manage project schedules and timelines to ensure timely completion of projects.
3. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure project goals are met.
4. Manage subcontractors, ensuring their work is performed to standard and on schedule.
5. Review and understand project specifications, blueprints, and building codes to ensure compliance.
6. Prepare and submit Requests for Information (RFI) as needed to clarify project details.
7. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure adherence to safety standards.
8. Resolve any issues or delays that may impact the project timeline or budget.
9. Provide regular updates to project stakeholders on progress, challenges, and solutions.
10. Foster a positive and productive work environment, promoting teamwork and collaboration.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a superintendent role with commercial construction projects.
2. Proven track record of managing construction projects from start to finish.
3. Proficient in project scheduling, timeline management, and subcontractor management.
4. Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and RFI.
5. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
6. Strong problem-solving abilities, with a knack for resolving project-related issues efficiently.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
8. Proficient in using construction management software and tools.
9. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
