Job Description

The Registered Nurse I (RN I) in the 4 SURGICAL department is responsible for delivering patient care through assessment, diagnosis, planning, evaluation, documentation, and effective time management.

• Ensures quality communication, teamwork, leadership, and professionalism.
  
  
• Coordinates patient teaching, safety initiatives, and supports health team activities while maintaining professional standards.
  
  
• Completes annual competencies, unit-specific training, and contributes to departmental initiatives, including peer review and educational activities.
  
  
• Requires Associates Degree in Nursing (RN diploma, ASN, or ADN); BSN preferred.
  
  
• Must hold an active RN license, BLS certification, and relevant specialty certifications if applicable.
  
  
• Qualifications include competence in providing developmentally appropriate care and reliable communication means.
